[2I11] Quick Method of Measuring 2-Dimensional Neutron Beam Profile at Accelerator Based Boron Neutron Capture Therapy

Neutron beam profiles were evaluated based on a neutron gold activation method. This method requires a long time to obtain a one-dimensional neutron beam profile. We proposed quick method of measuring the two-dimensional neutron beam profile using aluminum neutron activation and exposure to an imaging plate. First, aluminum foils were neutron irradiated at the neutron exposure site during five minutes. The activated aluminum foils were exposure to the imaging plates. After reading the imaging plates, the two-dimensional neutron beam profiles were obtained. Comparing these measurement results, both the results agreed with each other inside of an area of neutron beam exit.
