[2J09] Studies on ¹³⁷Cs fractions in archived soil samples collected from FDNPS in 2011

Archived soil samples collected from within a 20 km radius of TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (FDNPS) in June-July 2011 were analysed for the fraction of ¹³⁷Cs in soil using a sequential extraction method, with soil ¹³⁷Cs concentrations ranging from 49.55 to 195,600 Bq kg^-1 DW, exchange fraction, organics-bound fraction and strongly bound fractions were 14.9, 11.8 and 73.3 %, respectively, with a relatively high proportion of exchange fraction ¹³⁷Cs.
