To identify the many issues and propose solutions for the decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (1F), the Committee continues to provide a forum for expert discussion, deepen technical discussions, fairly analyses the present status of 1F and the paths and issues for its decommissioning, and disseminate this information to the public.
This session focuses on the development of robotics and tele-operation technology, which is indispensable for the decommissioning of 1F. Engineers from four companies that are actually developing robotic technology will give presentations on the state of development and its application to the field, and the direction, needs and challenges of robotic technology development for the decommissioning of 1F will be discussed.
