[3I02] Shielding experiment with secondary neutrons from 2-8 GeV electron beam at JLAB

Shielding experiment was performed with secondary neutrons from the beam dump consisting of water and aluminum irradiated by 2-8 GeV electron beam at JLAB in USA. Aluminum activation detectors were installed into the 3 measurement ducts located inside the concrete shield in the forward direction from the dump. Production rates of Na-24 radionuclide were estimated through radio-activity measurement. Monte Carlo simulations were performed and attenuation profiles in the concrete were compared with the experiment results.
