[3L04] Study on Diagnosis of Flow Measuremt for Liquid Lithium Target
Keywords:lithium target surface
A fusion neutron source generates neutrons by incident a deuteron beam with an energy of 40 MeV on a liquid lithium target flowing over a backplate. The range length of the deuteron beam is 20 mm, while the thickness of the lithium target is 25 mm. Therefore, the length from the arrival point of the deuteron beam to the backplate is as short as about 5 mm, and if an abnormality occurs in the lithium target, there is a risk that the deuteron beam will be directly incident on the backplate. Therefore, monitoring the target surface is extremely important for the safety of fusion neutron sources. In this research, we aim to build a basic technology for online monitoring of the target surface by speeding up the analysis and processing of the measurement data of the lithium target surface so far, and to contribute to the design of a target online monitoring device for fusion neutron sources.
