In considering future fusion systems, understanding potential radiation risks is important for feedback into design and risk communication. Lithium lead is one candidate coolant medium, but it has the advantage of being transportable at high temperature and low pressure. Here, a preliminary safety analysis was carried out for an event in which dissolved tritium in LiPb is released to the environment due to an unexpected event, and a risk approach methodology was studied.
