[3N02] Photon energy dependence of photoneutron production from natCu(g,xn) and natTi(g,xn) reactions
キーワード:double differential cross section, photonuclear reaction, photoneutrons, polarized photon
The photoneutron spectra of Cu(g,xn) and Ti(g,xn) at 16.6 MeV polarized photon was studied by our group. We figured out the experimental spectra of both targets including two components: (i) an low-energy component which followed a Maxwellian distribution, (ii) a high-energy component. Photon energy dependence of photoneutron production on Cu and Ti natural targets have not been studied. Thus, we performed measurement of double differential cross-section (DDX) of photoneutron using Laser Compton Scattering (LCS) photon energies at 17 MeV and 20 MeV at NewSUBARU-BL01 facility, Hyogo. The Cu and Ti targets were prepared in cylindrical shape placed in the trajectory of the high energy photon beam. The neutrons produced via photonuclear reaction were detected by liquid scintillator NE213 detector. We applied pulse shape discrimination to remove gamma background and time of flight technique to measure neutron energy. The neutron yields in low-energy and high-energy components both increased at higher energy photon beam. The details in this work will be discussed in the presentation.
