Previous studies using different mean-field models have suggested that model differences lead to the up to about 500% differences in microscopic cross sections for the 12C-induced reaction with heavy-ion targets and several times differences for the 12C(p,xn) reactions, even if there is no difference in ground-state binding energies. This study elucidates that this mean-field dependence is attributed to the differences in the ground state structure. In other words, our study revealed that the mean-field depends on the configuration of the ground state and leads to significant discrepancies in the reaction cross-sections. Furthermore, this study provided insights into the qualitative behavior of the mean-field impact, which was previously considered challenging to predict.
