(11)Diffusivity Evaluation of Strontium Ion in Cementitious Materials by Electro Migration Test

Static ion migration in concrete based on concentration gradient is generally evaluated by long-term immersion tests. In this study, proposing an electro migration test in which the ion migration is electrically accelerated in thin mortar samples, the effective diffusion coefficient is calculated for Sr ions. As the results, the effective diffusion coefficient was successfully measured in a short time. The relationship between the effective diffusion coefficient and the water-cement ratio of the mortar was clarified in association with the applied voltage. Furthermore, in order to verify the validity of the electro migration test for evaluating the diffusivity of Sr ions, the effective diffusion coefficient was quantitatively compared with the apparent diffusion coefficient obtained from the immersion test.
