In evaluating the optimal decommissioning strategy, the usefulness of interim storage facilities was evaluated for the case of multiple units and multiple sites, using total cost and uncertainty as indicators. The results show that the efficient use of interim storage facilities enables the sequential decommissioning of multiple units in a planned manner and optimizes the total cost.
