[2B15] Construction of organ deformation functions of adult Japanese polygon phantoms

*Kaoru Sato1, Takuya Furuta1 (1. JAEA)

Keywords:Adult Japanese, Organ dose, Organ shape, Body size, Deformation, Polygon phantom

Dose assessments for radiation protection are based on ICRP phantoms with standard Caucasian body size. On the other hand, consideration of body size or organ shape of each subject is essential to the retrospective assessment of exposure dose or radiation risk for radiation accidents and medical exposures. We are now advancing the research that is utilized adult Japanese polygon phantoms developed by JAEA to the retrospective assessment. In this presentation, we will report about a newly constructed organ deformation method for adult Japanese polygon phantom.
