Double differential cross sections (DDX) of the Al(p,xp) reaction were measured using an aluminum window placed at the beam dump entrance of the J-PARC accelerator facility with a group of plastic scintillators being a counter telescope and a Cherenkov counter. The accuracy of the proton beam intensity measurements was improved by using a preamplifier to amplify the signal from the current transformer, which serves as a proton current monitor. A comparison of the measurement results with the PHITS calculations will be discussed.
