[2I15] Decomposition of Dibutyl Phosphate by Pulsed Discharge over Water Surface

Decomposition of dibutyl phosphate dissolved in water with electrolyte solutions using pulsed discharges generated in argon gas over water surface is investigated. Dibutyl phosphate dissolved in a solution with a concentration of 5 g/L is almost decomposed by 9 hours treatment. Monobutyl phosphate and phosphate are detected as by-product of decomposition reaction. Dibutyl phosphate dissolved in electrolyte and alkaline simulate solution is also decomposed by discharge treatment. In this paper, latest information on the development of treatment methods using pulsed discharge plasma is presented.
