[2J14] Numerical Analysis of Condensation Heat Transfer from Saturated Steam-Air Mixture in a Vertical Pipe

Wall functions are generally used in turbulent analysis with relatively large computation cells. In this study, CFD analysis for the condensation heat transfer experiment from mixture of saturated steam and air in a vertical pipe with the diameter of 49.5 mm was carried out to evaluate the wall functions, and it was confirmed that the computed profiles of the steam mass fraction in the turbulent boundary layer agreed well with values obtained from the measured temperatures and saturated conditions.
