This paper describes the overview of an ongoing research project which aims at the development of safety design philosophy and risk assessment technology for sodium-cooled fast reactors with thermal energy storage system, sodium-salt heat exchange performance evaluation technology and measures to improve the heat transfer, sodium-salt chemical reaction characteristics evaluation and measures to improve safety.
