[1A15] Development of Technology for Inspection inside the Reactor Pressure Vessels (RPVs) at Fukushima Daiichi NPS

The RPV internal inspection is very important to plan and start the fuel debris retrieval at Fukushima Daiichi NPS in the earlier stage. It is required to obtain the map of fuel debris existence, condition of the RPVs internal components and so on. In order to obtain those data, various R&Ds have been accomplished in the last few years. Tousou Mirai Technology, leading these R&D activities, has conducted the further development items this year, such as Top access Inspection methods (improvement of cutting techniques by laser and AWJ) and Bottom access Inspection methods (including drones, telescopic pipes, and alternative methods).In this paper, the status of the R&D activities for the RPV internal inspection accomplished this year will be reported.
