1号機原子炉建屋トーラス室及び集中廃棄物処理施設の滞留水に含まれる固形のα核種の化学状態（化学形）の把握を目的として、各建屋の滞留水スラッジから採取したα核種含有粒子（U含有粒子）のTEM-EDX分析を実施し、U含有粒子中のU検出部はいずれも立方晶UO₂の化学形であることを確認した。
