Dynamic PRA is increasingly expected to be applied to accident management (AM) and operation support. In the development of AM and multi-unit operation, it is difficult to decide which countermeasure should be given priority due to the diversity and complexity of accident scenarios. This study provides a new approach to decide countermeasure priority using Continuous Markov chain Monte Carlo method, which is a dynamic PRA method. Specifically, 1) various scenarios are exhaustively generated, 2) the scenarios are classified based on the countermeasure pattern, and 3) priority is determined based on risk information for each pattern. An evaluation of multiple scenarios when an event occurs in a single unit is also carried out using a simple plant model.
