It is known that the computational complexity of the Monte Carlo method can be reduced to the order of the square root by using quantum amplitude estimation, which is a type of algorithm for quantum computers. Therefore, it is expected that radiation transport calculations using the Monte Carlo method can be accelerated. However, a quantum computer with appropriate scale is required to realize this. Based on the quantum circuit of a simple transport calculation model, this study estimates the required scale of a quantum computer for practical-level transport calculations.
