In boiling water reactor, there is a flow regime called annular dispersed flow in which liquid film, droplets, and steam are mixed, but when the heat flux becomes excessive, the liquid film disappears and heat transfer rapidly decreases. Liquid film dryout phenomenon occurs in which the heat transfer rapidlydecrease. Therefore, accurately prediction of the critical heat flux at which liquid film dryout occurs is essential. One of the correlations required to perform this predictive analysis is the droplet deposition correlation. In this study, in order to develop this correlation, we conducted numerical analysis of the droplets including the range that cannot be obtained with the experimental correlation and triedto develop highly applicable correlation.
