[1L17] Improvement of high-efficiency random sampling method by using control variates method and sensitivity

(5)Optimization of mockup parameters using singular value decomposition

Keywords:Uncertainty evaluation, Core burnup calculation, Control variates method, Sensitivity coefficient, CV-S method

In the CV-S method, which combines the controlled-variable method and sensitivity, the selection of mockup parameters for calculation was optimized by re-generating mockup parameters of high importance from the sensitivity library by singular value decomposition. As a result, the uncertainty obtained by the CV-S method after the mid-burnup period was about a quarter of that obtained by the conventional method. For the early burnup period, the influence of fission products and Gd fuel on the computational efficiency was confirmed.
