[2B10] Selective and Efficient Separation of Long-Lived Fission Products from HNO3(aq) Using Tridentate Pincer-type Extractants Showing Coordination Isomerism
Keywords:LLFPs, Coordination Chemistry, Coordination Isomerism, Solvent Extraction, HLLW
Selective separation of Pd(II) and Zr(IV) from simulated HLW was successfully achieved by using tridentate pincer-type ligands, N,N’-dialkyl-2,6-pyridinediamides (DRPDA), which may exhibit unique coordination isomerism depending on a metal ion of interest. By optimizing the following stripping agents, mutual separation and selective recovery of Pd(II) and Zr(IV) have been demonstrated.
