[2G17] Quantitative analytical method of tritium in tungsten

[11:05] Yuji TorikaiA chemical etching method was proposed as a method for determination of tritium retained in tungsten. A mixture of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) solution was used for chemical etching of tungsten. It was possible to control the etching amount on the micrometer order. The condition of the etched surface after etching was observed using a laser microscope and a scanning electron microscope, and the homogeneity of etching and the etching depth were examined. Details of the etching method will be reported in this presentation.
