One of the materials developed as a gamma detector material is a plastic scintillator. This material has various advantages over other detector materials, such as low cost, ease of production on a large scale, a fast response and materials that tend to be more readily available. However, research on the deposited energy of gamma radiation in plastic scintillators has not been done much, especially the ability of plastic scintillators to be in pure condition. This understanding is vital to see the basic capabilities of the detector before doping. This study conducted simulations of deposited energy of gamma radiation in several pure plastic scintillators. Simulations were carried out using the Monte Carlo method. The geometry of all the plastic scintillators is uniform, three inches so that they can be compared. This simulation provides an estimation of the comparative performance of pure plastic scintillator materials for use in gamma radiation detectors.
