A sample combustion device capable of burning up to 100 g of sample at a time was developed for analysis of organically bound tritium (OBT) in marine organisms. The sample shape, combustion conditions, etc. were studied, and the combustion temperature, oxygen flow rate, etc. were optimized. The results are reported.
