[3D_PL01] Background and Objective

The Research Committee on Investigation on Safety Standards of Prismatic-type HTGR was launched in FY2023 to investigate technical requirements and safety evaluation approaches to develop a safety concept of HTGR considering its inherent features and performance aiming to apply to the HTGR demonstration reactor. This session explains the background, objectives, technical topics and an investigation approach of this committee including the HTGR design and safety features. The session also reports a brief summary of discussion in the committee.
