[3K06] Estimation of RPV damage and fuel debris relocation behavior in the PCV at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station
(6)Evaluation of the core material relocation behavior
Keywords:Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (1F), Severe accident analysis, Molten Corium Concrete Interaction (MCCI), MPS method, debrisEye
This study presents evaluation of the core material relocation behavior as part of the series of presentations on “Estimation of RPV damage and fuel debris migration behavior in the PCV at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station”. The details are reported in the presentations (7), (8), and (9) to follow. The possibility of the core material discharge from vicinity of the junction of the control rod drive housing and the RPV lower head is being investigated. The new crust model for MPS method is being developed to consider possibility of continuous ablation of the containment concrete floor after solid crust layer has been formed on the surface of the discharged corium.
