[3K10] Evaluation of Condensation Heat Fluxes with Mixed Convection on a Vertical Plat Plate

Condensation heat transfer with mixed convection where the flow changes from forced convection to natural convection was evaluated by using the CFD code Fluent, because steam flowed into the containment vessel during accident at a nuclear power plant moves with forced and natural convections and condenses on structural surfaces. Two-dimensional computations for condensation from steam-air mixture on a vertical flat plate were carried out by changing the mixture mass flux, and the flow directional profile of heat fluxes were obtained from the temperature gradient in the condensation plate. The relationship between the mixture inlet velocities and the heat fluxes showed change from forced convection to natural convection, and their heat fluxes could be expressed by the existing correlations, respectively.
