[64] Fundamental Study on the Evaluation of Subscription-based MaaS by Using Recursive Logit Travel Choice Model

This study proposed an evaluation method of the settings of a subscription-based MaaS (Mobility as a Service) by using the recursive logit (RL) travel choice model. The proposed framework enables to compute the maximum tolerable fixed price for a given MaaS setting consistent with travel behavior theory. In order to examine the proposed framework, we analyzed traveler behaver by using the latest large-scale travel survey data in Tokyo Metropolitan Area. We estimated a multimodal travel choice model under the RL framework with reasonable parameter estimates. Finally, we demonstrated the evaluation framework by applying it to one sub-region in the Tokyo Metropolitan Area and confirmed that it provides reasonable outputs in terms of the level of the derived fare settings for the pre-determined MaaS settings.
