The purpose of this research is to (1) clarify the status of the agglomeration of startups and their ecosystems, and (2) extract the spatial characteristics and issues of the ecosystems also utilize them in startup support policies. In most existing studies, location analysis was conducted only for startups or investors. On the other hand, there are few examples of integrated research on an ecosystem consisting of startups, investors, universities and research institutions. The feature of this study is that the co-agglomeration of startups and their supporting communities was clarified by bivariate local Moran statistics. As a result of the verification, it was revealed that there are areas such as East-Shinjuku, Yoyogi, Gotanda, Kayabacho, Shibaura, etc., where there are many start-ups but few support communities. These regions may be able to strengthen the ecosystem with government and private sector startup support.
