[87] Changes and Problems Extracted from the Updating Process of Plans for the Maintenance and Improvement of Historic Landscape

As of 2021, Plans for the Maintenance and Improvement of Historic Landscape have been established in 83 municipalities. In addition, 10 of them have already updated the Plans to 2nd phase. This study aims to clarify changes and problems extracted from the updating process of the Plans. The results are as follows; (1)We confirmed changes which are expansion, contraction and new addition of priority districts and decrease in the rate of tangible projects. (2)The cause of changes are such as revision of the national guideline(2017) and reconsidering operation policy of municipalities. (3)There are some problems, for instance, that municipalities cannot execute projects in contractional area of priority districts after the updating. (4)Especially, SAKAWA Town had fixed their eyes on the 2nd phase while operating their 1st phase. We think this is useful information for other municipalities.
