- A Case Study in Kawasaki Waterfront Area
Keywords:hydrogen, decarbonization, Kawasaki Waterfront Area
Japan has set a goal to achieve zero carbon towards 2050, and all the sectors including industry is required to do. The introduction of renewable energy, energy conservation and the carbon neutralization are being promoted, and development of energy-related facilities are essential at the urban renewal stages. This study identifies the specific amount of energy facilities installed and the balance between the introduction of decarbonization measures and their costs. In conclusion, the importance of environmental and hydrogen measures triggered by land use changes are revealed. In addition, the study reveals the need to develop measures in line with fluctuations in hydrogen fuel prices to ensure business viability.
