[110] The influence of historic city planning on disaster prevention behavior of local residents

Areas where historical resources are utilized for community development tend to be more vulnerable to disasters, and because of their community characteristics, it is important to take disaster prevention measures on the intangible side. The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the difference in the number of years of certification for historical community development on local disaster prevention behavior and surrounding factors, and to understand awareness and behavior through a questionnaire survey. The results showed that the areas with longer years of certification were significantly higher in terms of community connections such as social capital and disaster prevention behavior. Furthermore, a structural model linking to disaster prevention behavior was created, which revealed that social capital is fostered from regional understanding, which ultimately leads to the encouragement of disaster prevention behavior.
