This paper is based on the Nagoya University Campus Master Plan, and investigates the current pavements from the perspective of the Healthy Streets Design Check, which aims to improve health by promoting daily walking and increasing physical activity. After considering the evaluation indicators and the design of the campus sidewalks, the purpose of the evaluation is to identify the streets that need to be improved and to identify the necessary maintenance.
The best campus healthy street is in the central green belt with a total score of 91.9, where there are not many passers-by, but also not many people staying. The worst location was a narrow carriageway with no footpath on the Kagami-ga Pond side with a total score of 55.0.
