世話人よりハイライトの紹介：第61次日本南極地域観測隊は, 2019年12月〜2020年3月,砕氷船「しらせ」により世界に先駆けてトッテン氷河の前縁域から海底堆積物コアを採取することに成功した．近年，トッテン氷河からの大量の氷床流出が懸念されており,それはこの海域の海洋環境が影響しているらしい．得られた海底堆積物コアには,完新世における氷床後退と海洋との相互作用に関する様々な痕跡が記録されているようだ．※ハイライトとは
