Keywords:Urban Reconstruction, Temporary Housing, Public Housing, Kumamoto Earthquake, Sichuan Earthquake
Cities around the world are facing the challenge of urban reconstruction, especially after natural disasters. In this process, the construction of temporary and public housing has become an important topic. Based on actual cases in Japan and China, this study aims to compare the locations of temporary housing and public housing construction under different urban reconstruction policies, as well as other related components such as local residents' acceptance of the proximity of housing construction locations and the choice of whether to rebuild on their own or to entrust reconstruction to the government. These differences involve factors such as government policy directions, local needs, and resource allocation. Understanding these differences is crucial for improving urban reconstruction policies and post-disaster recovery efforts. It provides insights for a deeper understanding of housing placement in the urban reconstruction process and informs the development of related policies.
