キーワード:Urban green spaces, Land use and cover
This research presents a comparative analysis of urban greening evolution in twelve cities from the Global North and South over a 30-year period. It specifically aims to understand the relationship between urban greening, human exposure to greening, and exposure equity, amidst the backdrop of escalating urbanization and its associated challenges. Utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing techniques along with socio-economic and demographic data, a novel framework is developed to assess the evolution of urban greening. The expected results highlight the intricate interplay between urban greening, land use, and equity, revealing differing trends across various urban contexts. The findings bear significant implications for urban planning and policy, providing valuable insights for the development and refinement of urban greening initiatives. This study underscores the necessity for a nuanced understanding of urban greening dynamics in relation to exposure and equity.
