Keywords:Smoke-free environments, Spatial analysis, Hotspot analysis, Spatial, Temporal
Purpose: This study purposed to create a smoke-free environment using spatial and temporal data. Methodology: We used floating population data of Korean Telecome(KT) in 2022 that can reflect the demographic and temporal factors of Wonju. As a spatial variable, we used data on bars and restaurents. Population flow analysis was performed using SAS 9.4. and spatial analysis was performed using ArcGIS pro(version 3.1.0). The combination of spatio-temporal data used in the analysis resulted from qualitative research(Focus Group Interview) with experts and practitioners. Findings: Hot spot analysis was conducted by combining population(males in 20s), time(18-24 hours), and space(restaurants and bars). Most of the hotspot areas were found in downtown and old downtown areas of Wonju, with a few outside city center. Conclusion: This study shows that local spatial and temporal characteristics should be considered in creating a smoke-free environments.
