[P1-23] Evaluating the Economic Consequences of COVID-19: A Comprehensive Study Utilizing probe vehicle data and POI data
Keywords:probe vehicle data, spatial pattern changes, point of interest data, COVID-19 pandemic
This study aims to analyze the economic and mobility impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Tokyo using probe vehicle data and point of interest (POI) data. The paper focuses on changes in the number and rate of stay points of vehicles in different areas over the past three years and estimate industries with significant changes in traffic flow due to the pandemic. First, analyze the spatial pattern changes of stay points of vehicles before and after the epidemic based on hotspot analysis. Then, using geographical weighted regression analysis between the changes rate of probe vehicle data and the number of POI data in each sector, to understand the relationship between the differences in the number and distribution of vehicle stop points associated with different industries and epidemic. The research is expected to provide insights into how the levels and distribution of prosperity across different industries have changed because of the pandemic and inform future policy recommendations on urban transport and commerce.
