[P1-27] Evaluating spatial design in office buildings through behaviors identified by Wi-Fi sensing and Bluetooth technology
キーワード:Environment behavior, spatial vitality, machine learning, indoor localization, office buildings
The vitality of the workplace influences employees' perception, performance, and satisfaction. This study developed a framework to assess office vitality using a large-scale indoor positioning system (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) for enhanced human-centric spatial evaluation. Firstly, the study analyzed users' spatiotemporal behavior characteristics and spatial preferences to understand individual variations and gain valuable insights into the underlying reasons. Additionally, a quantified evaluation index for office space vitality was established. The behavioral information detected by the indoor positioning system was matched with the spatial vitality indicators. Finally, a method for automatically analyzing spatial features and evaluating designs was developed. Based on machine learning tools, latent features were extracted and classified from the location and trajectory data extracted by the indoor positioning system. The results show that this method, by analyzing the distribution, clustering, and correlation of behavioral data, can effectively evaluate the spatial vitality of office buildings from a data perspective.
