About COVID-19 infection prevention at the 185th ISIJ Meeting
 
In holding the 185th ISIJ Meeting, we will implement the following infection prevention measures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Infection prevention measures will be updated from time to time in light of future changes in the situation, so please check our website for the latest information.
 
1. Infection prevention measures
  • Implementation of "advance reservation system" when applying for Meeting.
  • A list of participants will be created daily during the meeting and provided to public institutions as needed.
  • Refrain from participating those who are suspected of being infected with the novel coronavirus.
  • Body temperature measurement at the reception desk of the meeting.
  • Require all participant to always wear a face mask in the venue.
  • Installation of hand sanitizer at the venue.
  • Implementation of measures to avoid congestion, such as limiting the number of people entering each venue and designating entry / exit routes.
  • Implementation of measures to prevent splashing in the venue, such as setting up a partition between the speaker and the audience, setting up a seat for questioners, etc.
  •  Enforcement of ventilation in the venue.
  • Regular disinfection of common areas in the venue, such as microphones, podiums, PC connection cables, etc.
  • Restrictions on eating and drinking outside the designated area.
  • Call for refraining from loud conversations and adhering to cough manners.
 
2. Requests to those who are planning to participate
 1) About application for participation
  • To put everyone's safety first, the 185th ISIJ Meeting will be reserved only for those who have made reservations in advance (including non-member reservations and reservations for free events only). Applications for participation on the day will not be accepted.
  • The ISIJ Meeting Abstract "CAMP-ISIJ: Current Advances in Materials and Processes" will not be exchanged on the day. It will be delivered after the meeting.
  • Please note that the contact information entered at the time of booking may be provided to public institutions such as public health centers as necessary, such as when an infection among participants is recognized.
 
 2) About refraining from participating in those who are suspected of being infected with the novel coronavirus
  • Please measure your own temperature before coming to the venue, and refrain from participating if your body temperature is 37.5 ° C or higher.
  • Body temperature is measured at the entrance of the venue. If your body temperature is above 37.5° C, you cannot participate. In addition, even if the body temperature is below 37.5 °C, those who fall under any of the following (1) to (4) are not allowed to participate.
 
(1) Have a shortness of breath, strong fatigue, or high fever.
(2) Even if it is relatively slight, there are cold symptoms such as fever and cough, and abnormal taste or smell.
(3) Within 7 days before the day of the event, you have a medical examination or took medication due to fever and cold symptoms.
(4) Within 5 days, have traveled or stayed in a country or region where the infection continues to spread. Alternatively, there is close contact with travelers or residents from countries or regions with travel restrictions.
 
If you make a reservation in advance, we will send you a The ISIJ Meeting Abstract "CAMP-ISIJ: Current Advances in Materials and Processes" after the meeting. Therefore, please note that even if you decline participation due to the above reasons, the pre-registration fee you paid will not be refunded.
 
 3) About body temperature measurement
  • After the temperature is measured, we will check the participation ticket at the reception and distribute the temperature-measured stickers. So please come to the reception and register every day while the meeting. If there is no sticker, the staff may check if the temperature has been measured.
  • Writing utensils will not be rented at the reception. Please prepare by yourself.
 
 4) About wearing a face mask
  • Always wear a face mask at the venue. Please note that participation will be refused if you cannot wear it. Also, please note that the staff always wears a face mask.
 
 5) About avoiding the "Three Cs (Closed spaces, Crowded places, Close-contact settings)"
  • Please keep an appropriate distance when sitting in the lecture venue. Depending on the infection situation, the number of people in the lecture venue may be limited. In that case, please refrain from sitting in the seats that are not available. If the number of people is limited, you may not be able to enter the venue you wish to attend.
  • We may limit the entrance and exit of the lecture venue. Please follow the staff's instructions.
  • In order to prevent the three Cs, we will prohibit the use of the elevator by the meeting participants.
  • In addition, please cooperate in ensuring social distancing in the venue.
 
 6) Precautions when eating and drinking
  • Please cooperate in preventing congestion in the cafeteria during lunch.
  • It is possible to eat and drink in the lecture venue during breaks, but in that case, please eat in silence.
 
 7) Others
  • Please wash your hands, gargle and disinfect your hands as appropriate.
  • Please refrain from acts that are not suitable for prevention of infection, such as loud conversations.
  • Please follow the coughing manners.
  • If you have any symptoms such as poor health or fever, please be sure to contact the staff nearby.
  • Even outside the venue, please follow the rules of the center government, local governments, and your organization and try to prevent infection. Please note that ISIJ are not responsible for any actions outside the venue.
  • When eating, we recommend using a restaurant that has been certified with the infection prevention certification mark provided by local government.  
  •  If you are diagnosed as positive for the novel coronavirus during the conference or within 4 days after the meeting, please contact the ISIJ secretariat immediately. In addition, in order to report to public institutions such as public health centers and the venue, we may ask you about your behavior history during the event.
  • If it is confirmed that a person who has been diagnosed as positive for the novel coronavirus has participated during the lecture meeting, the subsequent schedule may be canceled. In that case, in accordance with our cancellation policy, we will not refund the purchase price of the abstract.
