[R3P-09] GHz ultrasonic measurement in DAC: Summary and future perspective

Although Brillouin scattering method using laser light has been widely used as an elasticity measurement method of a sample pressurized in DAC, there are problems of (1) measurement of opaque sample can not be performed and (2) P-wave peak of sample is S-wave peak of diamond under high pressure. To solve the problems, the GHz-DAC method was started to develope around 2011. After some twists and turns, we succeeded in measuring the sound velocity of the sample in DAC in 2017. We will make a presentation focusing on future research prospects.
