Glass with embedded metal and sulfides(GEMS) are the main components of chondritic porous interplanetary dust particles (CP-IDPs), which are thought to be one of the most primitive materials in the solar system. GEMS-like materials are also observed in carbonaceous chondrites and micrometeorites, and its presence and coexistence with phyllosilicates can be the index of the degree of hydrothermal alteration. In this study, we performed in-situ hydrothermal alteration experiments using GEMS analog particles to reveal the alteration process of GEMS.
