[R5-03] Igneous body of quenched angrites in comparison with komatiites
Keywords:Angrite, Komatiite, stratigraphy, cooling rate, xenocryst
Angrite is a basaltic achondrite and shows either quenched or slowly-cooled textures. Komatiite is a rock on the earth which has many similarities to quenched angrites. In this study, we compared quenched angrites and komatiites and discussed the stratigraphy of quenched angrites. The geological settings of komatiites is continuous eruption from fissure. Similar eruption event might have occurred at the surface of angrite parent body, producing quenched angrites.
