[R6P-02] Petrography of the granitic and metamorphic rocks in Minami-Zao and Kuriko areas, central part of Abukuma Belt, Northeast Japan

Keywords:Abukuma Belt, granitic rock

Cretaceous granitoids and metamorphic rocks are located in Minami-Zao and Kuriko areas in the central part of Abukuma Belt. Granitoids are classified as granite to tonalite. Metamorphic rocks are mainly pelitic gneiss, and amphibolite. As a result of the bulk composition of granitoids, examination of compositional trends including other granitoids from the central Abukuma Belt revealed three trends, which are divided into Zao, Nanyo-Hiyama, and Shirabu-Inawashiro. This is thought to reflect the difference in the source material or the difference in the crystallization process.
