[R7-10] U-Pb age of the Oritate travertine from Unazuki area, Toyama, Japan.

In this study, we present the result of U-Pb carbonate mineral dating of the Oritate travertine from Unazuki area, Toyama, Japan by LA-ICP-MS. The Oritate travertine yielded a result of 62 ± 26 Ma (MSWD = 1.1). The age of 70 Ma is obtained from the welded tuff of the Tamiyama Group distributed in this area (Kaneko et al., 2019). The Oritate travertine may have been formed during the late Cretaceous igneous activity found in the Futomiyama Group. We also examined the elements which is utilized as an indicator of U concentration in travertine.
