[Presentation award entry]
Keywords:Bohemian Massif, granulite, garnet, pressure-temperature path
This study compares the chemical compositions of garnets in felsic granulite from the Plešovice (PV) in the southeastern part of the Blanský les body, Czech Republic, and from Zrcadlová Hut' (ZH) in the central part of the body. Garnet in the felsic granulite from PV shows retrograde zoning, whereas garnet from ZH shows prograde zoning with increasing Mg from the core to the rim. Geothermobarometer showed no clear difference in the P-T conditions between PV and ZH. The presence of garnet with prograde zoning in ZH may be due to rapid cooling in ZH.
