It is known that fluids affect the properties of rocks, however, there is no study about elastic wave propagation in rocks under hydrothermal environments. This study measured the elastic waves propagating through granite in hydrothermal environments up to 450℃. The Vp measured in this study was compared with the Vp measured in the dry state of heat-treated granite summarized in Zhang et al. (2018). As a result, the pressure of the fluid prevented Vp from decreasing caused by increasing temperature.
