In this study, a model for quantitative heat source estimation was investigated for the development of a geothermal exploration method using thermoluminescence (TL) of feldspar. In this model, the decay rate equation of TL intensity and the heat conduction equation are coupled. The decay rate equation consists of a decay term and an accumulation term, and the former describes the decay of TL due to isothermal heating as 2nd and 3rd order reaction rate equation. The latter term is a function of time. The lowest temperature at which the energy accumulation / decay of TL was switched was 21°C.
