[S3-04] Mixing process of oceanic crust of BAB spectrum and continental crust in the Maizuru belt, SW Japan
Keywords:Maizuru belt, Yakuno complex, Tsuwano complex, closure of back-arc basin
The Middle zone of the Maizuru belt in the Inner Zone of Southwest Japan is characterized by a mixture of oceanic crust of back-arc basin spectrum and continental crust. Such mixing in the Maizuru belt can be explained by the convergence of the backarc basin, which retains the continental crust, such as the Yamato Bank in the Japan Sea, due to the collision of the intra-oceanic island arc. Thereafter, the Maizuru belt became melange due to the wide right lateral shear movement.
